“I think anyone would like to coach Cristiano Ronaldo but it’s not a real situation \u2013 it’s just a transfer rumour. I have to focus on the players I have available, which includes Victor Osimhen. He’s a fantastic footballer who lots of clubs would like and he’s a key player for us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What difficulties can you expect from tomorrow’s game?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cFiorentina are up there among the best teams in the league. Italiano has shown he’s an excellent coach. Last year they made it hard for us all three times we played them and they beat us twice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “We’re going to have to move the ball around well and stay in control but we’re well aware of Fiorentina’s pace and physicality. We’re in good shape and I’m hopeful the lads will put in a good performance.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n What sort of approach do you expect to see from your team tomorrow after two superb wins in your first two fixtures?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cThe physical side counts for a lot in the modern game. The strength and determination you go into challenges with make the difference but you also need to be capable of managing the game. I expect to see the same good things I saw from my team in the first two matches as well as an improvement in the quality of our play \u2013 that’s something we must strive for constantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWhat you want is thinking footballers who can analyse the game and obtain an advantage from every situation. Last year we allowed ourselves to get distracted in some matches and it ended up costing us important points. I hope that doesn’t happen this season. We must remain alert and fully focused at all times \u2013 especially against quality opponents like Fiorentina.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n Will you stick with the same line-up you used in the first two games?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cMore or less we will, yes. That’s the basic idea. But we’ve brought in some quality additions so I’ll be able to inject fresh legs, especially considering all the games we have coming up. I’ll weigh up my options tomorrow but I have new players who are ready to play.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n How has Tanguy Ndombele looked in training this week?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n “Ndombele is looking pretty good despite not always training with the squad.
