Massimiliano Allegri stressed the importance of Napoli getting three points against Frosinone but also insisted the Azzurri show their opponents the respect they deserve.
Read on to find out what the boss had to say ahead of Saturday's Serie A clash at the Stadio Maradona.
“It's unfortunate that we've lost [Costantino] Favasuli and [Antonio] Vergara in this break but injuries happen over the course of a season. On the plus side, [Scott] McTominay will be in the squad, we have [Luca] Marianucci back, and [Sam] Beukema is looking good after his long spell on the sidelines.
“[Frank] Anguissa and [Mathias] Olivera could be back before too long. There are positives too. The main thing is we play well and try to get the three points.
“We're up against a team who are doing well and they have some good players but we must try to get this next run of games off to a good start by winning this one.
“There can be no excuses or justifications. We must go out there aware of the importance of this game. We must show maximum humility and respect for Frosinone but at the same time we must be confident we can win it.
“We've worked well over the last few weeks and had two friendlies to give some playing time to those who had played less. We're ready for this game tomorrow evening. I'll decide on the starting line-up tomorrow morning, considering we have a Champions League match on Tuesday too.
“We have options we can use during the game. The number of players we have available is on the rise and we're confident we can give the best of ourselves during this intense stage of the season. Now though, we're focused only on tomorrow's game. We mustn't stress about having to get a result, just show conviction that we can get the three points.”
