Massimiliano Allegri sat down with the media on Monday to discuss Napoli's Champions League encounter with Bodo Glimt.

"It's going to be a difficult game because we're playing a team that have established themselves on the European stage in recent years," the coach explained. "We'll need technical quality to keep the ball and great intensity.

“Bodo have earned themselves a name in recent years and shown that they can compete at a high level wherever they play. They've reiterated that with their results and performances this season.

“We need to lift ourselves out of this rut with our own strength. We haven't won yet [in the Champions League] and that's what we'll try to do tomorrow. We must play without performance anxiety but we need to be aware of and confident in our ability.

“Against Venezia we created lots of chances yet the result tells a different story. Tomorrow we need to pull out all the stops with our fans giving us a hand.

“When the results aren't coming for you, there's often a reason for it. We're probably lacking that something extra that we really need to find. I call myself into question every day. The only way forward is to keep working hard and believing in our potential, which we need to start showing.”

“We have nine games in a month now then another nine after the next international break. That means everyone will get the chance to play. We have to make the most of our resources and our energy as we'll need them throughout the season.”
