Sporting director's press conference in Dimaro
Napoli sporting director Giovanni Manna spoke to the media during a press conference at the team's training camp in Dimaro on Thursday.

Buongiorno's inury and defensive options
"Buongiorno's injury certainly has an impact because he's a big loss, a very important player for us, but we have five defenders so we're not going to rush into any move we might make.
Working relationship with Allegri
“[Massimiliano] Allegri and I are on the same page professionally. We rate each other highly as we've worked together before. He's incredibly motivated and very switched on.
Current squad
“We're know we have a squad that can aim to go all the way in every competition. We're waiting for our international players to return and then we'll assess everything properly.
De Bruyne
"Kevin has bought into the Napoli project for two years with an option for a third. He's a big player who made a huge contribution until he got injured. He had a difficult season but he'll come back and give his all for the coach and the team.”
2025 summer transfer window
“Last year we expanded our squad due to the number of games we had and we brought down the average age of the squad. We made nine signings and come the end of the summer our transfer business to have been very good. We were rather unlucky for different reasons including injuries but we must be patient to get the most out of our human and technical assets. You have to give players the time they need to express their full potential.”
