SSC Napoli announces a new social responsibility initiative with AIL, the Italian Leukemia, Lymphoma and Myeloma Association.
SSC Napoli is the first football club to enter into a direct partnership with the National AIL association, with a project that includes a number of initiatives in the city to spread awareness among the community of issues related to blood diseases and the importance of research.
This partnership is aimed at promoting AIL’s commitment to combating leukemia, lymphomas and myelomas and supporting haematological patients and their families. Through activities that will be developed together, SSC Napoli and AIL seek to draw greater attention to the importance of scientific research and patient care.
This partnership is yet another step in SSC Napoli’s work in the field of social responsibility, as it puts football at the service of initiatives concerning the community and its local area.
Gaetano Biallo, General Director of AIL: “I would like to sincerely thank SSC Napoli for choosing to undertake a very important initiative together with AIL. Football is much more than just a sport: it is a universal language that can bring people together and establish deep bonds. To us, this partnership is a way to turn the emotions of the pitch into tangible acts of solidarity, by providing support and hope to people affected by haematological diseases.”
Tommaso Bianchini, General Manager - Business Area of SSC Napoli: “This agreement means a lot to SSC Napoli. Being the first club to work directly with the National AIL association gives us an additional responsibility: shining a light on an issue that affects many people and many families, alongside those who work every day conducting research and providing care to patients.”
