Napoli got the new season off to the perfect start as they put five goals past Verona at the Stadio Bentegodi.
The Azzurri looked lively from the off and fashioned several chances in the opening minutes but it was the home side that broke the deadlock through Kevin Lasagna on the half-hour mark.
Kvitcha Kvaratskhelia, who was impressive throughout on his competitive debut, levelled the scores when he headed home Hirving Lozano's cross, before Victor Osimhen made it 2-1 on the stroke of half time.
Thomas Henry restored parity after the restart but it proved short-lived as Piotr Zielinski once again put us ahead.
Luciano Spalletti's men then established a stronghold on proceedings with further strikes by Stanislav Lobotka and substitute Matteo Politano.
Five goals and three points sets the tone nicely for Napoli's first home game of the season, against Serie A newcomers Monza next Sunday.
