SSC Napoli and SGAM Spa are thrilled to announce that Acqua Sorgesana will be the team’s Back-of-Shirt Partner for the next three seasons.
The union between SSC Napoli and SGAM began in summer 2005, with the mineral water company accompanying the club in 19 of Aurelio De Laurentiis’s 20 years as president, from the Serie C through to the Scudetto.
Sorgesana will retain the title of SSC Napoli Official Water and further boost its national and international visibility by appearing on the back of the jersey worn by the Napoli first team and U19s, accompanying staff and players in their daily lives – from training to matches and their diet. In this 20th year of partnership, the brand will enjoy online and offline visibility on all of the club’s media channels.
The video reveal for the partnership merges the two companies’ shared values: integrity, purity and healthy living will be part of marketing campaigns for the Napoli fan base over the coming seasons.
“The paths of Napoli and Mr Arnone’s brand were joined together at the very start of my time in football,” commented SSC Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis. “It’s both a pleasure and an honour to see a brand which began in Naples on the back of our shirts and I’m sure this union will continue in the next phase of our club’s growth.”
"From day one we believed and bought into Aurelio De Laurentiis’s ambitious plans for SSC Napoli,” said SGAM president Nicola Arnone.” Now we can proudly say that decision has paid off. Our relationship with such a prestigious, well-loved club has helped us strengthen our bond with the city of Naples, which we see as an integral part of our identity. We are and will always be the number one Napoli fans and sponsoring the club means sharing an unbridled passion. We are looking forward with confidence and enthusiasm and are certain that Napoli’s new chapter with Acqua Sorgesana will be enriched by further success.”
Società Generale delle Acque Minerali Spa
Società Generale delle Acque Minerali (SGAM) began in the early 1980s when it bought the historic brand Acqua Lete, which first appeared on the market in 1893.
Through clever investment in new technologies, SGAM has been able to stay ahead of the game and anticipate the needs of the complex beverage market.
SGAM Spa uses both glass and PET bottles, creating a bottling company that is innovative from a technological and organisational perspective, successfully launching and distributing its Lete and Sorgesana mineral water in Italy and abroad.
Boasting 11 production lines (eight in PET, two in glass and one in aluminium), SGAM is the first Italian food and drinks company that uses – thanks to Eon – only 100% green energy for all its production needs. It is a founding member of CORIPET, an autonomous consortium for the management of PET packing for liquid foodstuffs recognised by the Italian Ministry of the Environment.
