Massimiliano Allegri admits he is excited about the prospect of playing at the Maradona but warns Como will be no easy opponents when the two sides meet on Sunday evening.
“It's our first home match of the season and I'm sure it will be thrilling to play in front of our fans,” the coach said at his pre-match press conference on Saturday. “We're playing the newest big team in Italian football and we must be up to the level required.”
On facing Como
“Como are a well-drilled side with some highly skilful individuals. We'll try to limit their strengths, such as their possession play and their quick balls played forward. We'll need to be patient and smart because we're up against an excellent team.”
On adapting to opponents
“We have to be good at reading each game as they're all different. Against Genoa we won thanks to our subs but not every game goes the same way. I haven't made up my mind on the starting XI yet – I'll decide tomorrow."
On facing Como, Inter and Arsenal in the next three games
"That's what the fixture list has given us. We'll need to focus on one game at a time then we'll see what results we're able to get. For now we're concentrating on tomorrow's match, then we'll deal with the others in turn."
On Napoli's Champions League opponents
“In Europe every match is difficult. There are no pushovers anymore. We start with a fantastic match against Arsenal and in football you want to be involved in the big games with an atmosphere like that."
On the squad
“I'm happy with the squad I have. I don't know if we'll do any more transfer business in these last few days but we have a strong, competitive group of players and we're working really well with them.”
