There’s a birthday to celebrate today at the club as Scott McTominay turns 28. The Napoli midfielder was born in Lancaster on 8 December 1996.
President Aurelio De Laurentiis and the whole SSC Napoli family would like to wish Scott many happy returns.
Ever since his Serie A debut as a starter (21 September 2024 against Juventus), McTominay has been one of just two midfielders not to miss a minute of action (900 in total) alongside Marten de Roon.
The Scot has three Serie A goals to his name so far, while only four Scottish players have ever scored four or more goals in a Serie A campaign: Denis Law (ten in 1961/62), Lewis Ferguson (seven in 2022/23 and six in 2023/24), Graeme Souness (five in 1984/85) and Aaron Hickey (five in 2021/22).
