Pasquale Mazzocchi underwent diagnostic tests on Friday after picking up a calf injury during Thursday's training session.
The tests, carried out at Pineta Grande Hospital, revealed that the right-back has sustained a soleus strain in his right leg.
Mazzocchi has already begun a recovery programme.
