Napoli and Eintracht Frankfurt drew 0-0 at the Stadio Maradona on Matchday 4 of the Champions League. It was a very intense match and despite both sides’ efforts they failed to break the deadlock.
This was Antonio Conte's analysis of the match:
"It's disappointing not to have won because we had some chances that could’ve decided the game. We dominated the game for long spells but we lacked the finishing touch.
"The fans are disappointed. They supported us well and deserved to see us win, which ultimately would have been deserved.
"Eintracht Frankfurt defended relentlessly, and at times they didn't look like a German team. As for us, it must be said that despite the fact that we dominated the game, if you don't score, you can't win.
"I've taken some positive signs - the players who have played less so far this season performed really well. We're continuing to work and improve, and we must look ahead while acknowledging that this is going to be a very intense season."
Captain Giovanni Di Lorenzo commented on today’s game:
"We deserved to win, there's no doubt about that. We weren't very lucid in the final third - we were lacking a killer ball at times and sometimes we lacked precision. However, we performed well and we could’ve taken the three points.
"We would’ve been happy to win for our fans – they really drove us on until the end. Nothing has been decided yet - there are still four matches left in the group, and we have what it takes to progress into the next round."
