“This evening we showed that we are a real team who stick together and go the extra yard for each other,” said Giovanni Di Lorenzo who scored the first goal for the Azzurri in their Champions League match against Braga.
“I’m happy about the win and my goal, but we had a lot of chances to score before that.
“Unfortunately, if you don’t take those chances, the game gets tough, especially in Europe. At this level, you can’t afford to slip up too often. We had to dig deep to win.
“We struggled slightly but, in the end, we earned those three points. It’s a crucial win that gets us off on the right foot in a difficult group.”
