Giovanni Di Lorenzo was the player to speak at the UEFA press conference ahead of Napoli's Champions League opener against Manchester City on Thursday.
“We're happy to be back in the Champions League and we want to start off with a good performance,” he began. “We've missed playing in this competition and we want to perform to the best of our ability. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting test for us to see how far we've come.
“We know that City have an incredible attack. It's going to be a huge challenge for us defenders but the whole team will need to be at their best, both when going forward and when defending.
“Man City have an amazing squad and a great coach. We know how difficult this game is going to be. We'll have to raise our level of focus to the max but we're coming here to play to our strengths, show our quality and produce a top performance.”
