Speaking alongside Walter Mazzarri on the eve of the EA SPORTS FC Super Cup final, Giovanni Di Lorenzo shared his thoughts about the Azzurri’s next match against Inter.
“I don’t think there’s a favourite to win tomorrow. Two teams will face each other, both of which have reached the highest levels in international football.”
“In a single game, there’s not one team that starts with a greater chance than the other. Obviously we’re up against a top-quality opponent. It’ll be a great match and we’ll put all our energy into it.
“We’ll give everything to win this important trophy for us, for the club, and for the fans. We’d be chuffed with the Super Cup, but it would also give us more belief and confidence for the rest of the season.”
Napoli’s defence will be extremely important given the attacking power of Inter.
“They’ve got champions in their squad and a pair of quality forwards. It’s clear we’ll have to be efficient in defence, but the whole team needs to be able to interpret both phases of the game.”
“We’re a solid group and we want to show our strength. We’re ready to play this final to the best of our ability.”
