Giovanni Di Lorenzo talked up the influence of Walter Mazzarri after the new boss oversaw Napoli's 2-1 success at Atalanta.
“The gaffer's come in and pressed all the right buttons to give us a real boost,” the captain explained in the wake of Saturday's win at Gewiss Stadium.
“He knows the club inside out and has a lot of experience. He's tried to fire us up while instilling calm at the same time.
“Today's win is good for our league position but we know we should be higher. The main thing was we got back to winning ways.
“Getting three points at a place like Bergamo is a great sign. We kept our shape well and stayed compact throughout the game then [Victor] Osimhen came on and helped us get the win. He's an amazing player and he was desperate to get back into the action. He showed how important he is for us.”
