Giovanni Di Lorenzo believes Napoli have what it takes to repeat their success of last season, despite the difficulty level being raised further this term.
The skipper was speaking after the Azzurri battled back from a goal down to defeat Frosinone 3-1 on the opening day of the season.
“We responded superbly as a team today,” he began.
“Winning the title is difficult and it's even more difficult to do it again. We know that last season's triumph is just a fond memory now. We're focused on having a great season this year.
“We have an experienced coach and an excellent squad. We're the champions and everyone will want to beat us. We know everything will be harder now. We'll need huge intensity if we want to raise our game further.
“We're trying out new ideas so that we can switch between different tactics. [Rudi] Garcia is introducing new concepts and we're taking it all in.”
