Elif Elmas played up front on Wednesday evening at San Siro against AC Milan due to absences in the attacking ranks. The North Macedonian was quick to react positively and look ahead to the second leg next week.
“We need to pick ourselves straight back up. We showed this evening that we can have our say in the return leg.
“I try to play at my best in whatever position I find myself in. I felt comfortable in attack and I think we could’ve scored some goals as a team.
“AC Milan are a strong team. They’re the current champions of Italy and we went toe to toe with them this evening by turning in a good performance.
“We now need to think about the return leg because we’re confident that we can have our say in terms of getting through.”
