Eljif Elmas spoke about the unique feeling of putting the captain’s armband on during the friendly victory over Juve Stabia on Wednesday.
“It was a special feeling to wear the armband. Thank you to the fans for the wonderful support.
“It was a brilliant afternoon and a unique feeling for me to don the captain’s armband.
“The fans were incredible and really got behind us in this friendly. We thank them for the way they’ve supported us.
“I’m pleased about the new arrivals, with players with so much quality coming in to help us out. I think this squad can achieve major targets and keep progressing into the future.
“Next up we’re facing Fiorentina, so we’ll have to start working on that from tomorrow onwards to try to get a positive result at the Franchi against a very good side.”
