"My career began in my hometown (at Aurora Remanzacco), then I moved to the Udinese academy where I stayed until I reached the first team. After that I was at various clubs, accumulating a variety of experiences, before ending up here at Napoli.
“I’ve always had a great passion for football and I’ve made my dream come true. My childhood idol was Gianluigi Buffon, a role model for all of the goalkeepers of my generation – we grew up watching his great saves.
“My debut in Serie A was a bundle of emotions. It was the culmination of the work I’d put in since I was a child. It was then that I realised that I’d gone from dream to reality, thrust into a world full of responsibilities.
“Now I'm in the same team as Alex Meret and at the club where Dino Zoff also played. I’ve got a great opportunity at an ambitious club. For us Friulians it's a source of pride because it means that everything we've done since we were kids has been done well.
“I’ve had really positive impressions so far. The lads are really united and keen to do well, and do so as a unit. Being part of a positive group where we work at our best is an excellent starting point. We want to continue fighting until the end, knowing that there’s a long way to go yet.”
