Gianluca Gaetano underwent surgery on his fifth metatarsal on his left foot at Villa Stuart Clinic on Wednesday.
The operation, which was a success, was carried out by Doctor Amerigo Menghi alongside Pierpaolo Mariani in the presence of the club's head of medical, Raffaele Canonico. The Napoli midfielder has already begun his rehabilitation programme.
