Rudi Garcia wasn't pleased with Napoli's performance against Genoa, despite their late flourish earning a point in Marassi.
"We didn't play well today but we responded the way great teams do,” the boss mused following the 2-2 draw.
“We definitely weren't on our game for the first hour. We created very little and conceded twice from set-pieces, which shows a lack of attention and focus. Perhaps we were a little distracted by our upcoming Champions League match.
“It was a different game in the last half an hour and I must say we turned things around thanks to our subs. The guys who came off the bench switched the light back on for us. We showed what we're about and got the draw. However, that doesn't change the fact it's two points dropped.
“The refereeing decisions didn't go our way today: on their first goal there was a foul on [Frank] Anguissa in the box. In any case, overall it was our own mistakes which impacted the match more. It's our own fault if we didn't win.”
