“No complaints about the result. Milan were the better side in the first half while we were superior to them after the break. We could’ve even have won the game.” Rudi Garcia spoke to the media in the wake of his team’s 2-2 draw against Milan.
“I appreciated how the team reacted. We opened up the game and drew level, and with a bit of luck we could’ve claimed victory through Kvara right at the death.
“I’d like to say well done to the lads. While we wanted to win the game I think a draw is a fair result because we were up against a top team.
“We changed formation in the second half. I put on [Giovanni] Simeone and moved [Giacomo] Raspadori just behind the front line. There are other tactics beyond 4-3-3 of course. I’ve got attackers who are capable of playing in a variety of roles, as Raspadori proves, for example.
“[Matteo] Politano and [Khvicha Kvaratskhelia] Kvara were great on the wings. Matteo is working really hard and I’m pleased with his performances. I’m happy in general with the team’s approach when faced with adversity. They showed character and pride – I really appreciated this.”
