We're taking a look back over Napoli's stunning 2022/23 season with a pick of the highlights as the Azzurri stormed to a third Serie A titlo

Start as you mean to go on, so they say. And Napoli certainly set out their Scudetto stall with a dazzling display of football on the opening day of the season at the Stadio Bentegodi.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia took less than 45 minutes to show his new fans what he's capable as he headed in the opener. Kevin Lasagna then equalised for the hosts but Victor Osimhen swooped to restore our lead before the break.

Another Verona leveller came soon after the restart before the Azzurri stepped up a gear. A rapid counter-attack saw Kvara play in Piotr Zielinski to make it 3-2, then Stanislav Lobotka went it alone for the fourth. Matteo Politano added a fifth after coming off the bench.

Five beautifully crafted goals and a resounding statement of intent by Luciano Spalletti's side as they kicked off the campaign in style.
