Hirving Lozano has lifted the lid on life in the Napoli camp and the team spirit nurtured by Luciano Spalletti as the Azzurri look to continue their excellent start to the season.
Speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss after scoring in the 4-2 win over Ajax in midweek, the Mexican star reflected on recent changes at the club:
“The club has put together a squad with talented, hungry young footballers. It wasn't easy to replace the players who left this summer but the new guys settled in quickly and have shown their ability. I think we're even more competitive now.
"Personally I feel 100% involved because Spalletti is very precise and he's giving everyone game time while helping each and every one of us individually.
"The boss deserves much of the credit for the results we've obtained because he's created a very positive spirit in the camp. We work really hard every day to achieve the targets we've set ourselves.
“We're playing lots of games but have managed to keep our performance levels high. That shows the coach is getting the best out of the squad as a whole and individually.
"The Champions League is a great competition to be in and we've shown we can mix it with other big clubs. Our victory on Wednesday takes us that bit closer to finishing top of the group, which we've deserved so far.
"As things stand, we're top of our group in Europe and in Serie A but we're not looking at the standings. We have a tough match coming up against Bologna on Sunday and we must keep taking things one game at a time. The strength of this group is in our unity. We want to show we've got what it takes to achieve big things come the end of the campaign.”
