Mario Rui admits he is in awe of the historic football ground that is Anfield but insists it won't stop him and Napoli trying to win there when they play Liverpool on Tuesday evening.
The Champions League Matcday 6 match will determine which team finishes top of Group A.
“Anfield is one of the best stadiums I've ever played in and there'll be an amazing atmosphere there tomorrow but we want to keep picking up results and continue on the path we're on,” the full-back declared on the eve of the match.
"We know we're going to be playing a fantastic team with incredible players and we have to approach it with the same mentality we've been showing game after game.”
How is the current Napoli team different to last year's?
"We've continued to build on the foundations the boss laid last season. We're doing well and we can get a lot better. We're all working together to stay competitive and to improve further.
"I think the team helps individuals to express themselves. If people are singling out some of our players, the credit must go to the team and the work we put in as a collective.
“Everyone is giving their all and fighting for each other. The secret is our togetherness and willingness to sacrifice ourselves for the team. We have to keep going like this if we want to keep winning.”
