“We’re ready to give our all and show what we’re made of. I don’t see this as a slump – we’re united and really fired-up.” Napoli defender Mario Rui appeared at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday ahead of his side’s Champions League clash against Braga. Here are some of the highlights:
“I don’t think we’re in trouble. The difference between this season and the last is that every team is wary of Napoli and prepare extra hard when facing us.
“Obviously it’s up to us to respond on the pitch and show great character but I think the flack that’s come our way has been excessive. Tomorrow we want to put in a performance befitting of the top team that we are.
“The players and coaching staff are united and we’re feeling good. We just need to kick on and that’s what we’ll do. In time we’ll get into the groove and be able to perform to our best.”
