Mario Rui spoke to Radio Kiss Kiss from Napoli's training camp in Castel di Sangro. Here's some of what he had to say:
What are your thoughts on Khvicha Kvaratskhelia?
"He looks like a top player; we noticed that from day one. He'll be a valuable asset to the team and we're blessed to have him as part of our squad. We've also got Victor Osimhen up top who's also a fantastic attacker. I reckon that we're yet to see the best of Victor. We've got to many options up front."
Mathias Olivera has joined, who is also a left back...
"We're getting to know what Mathias is all about. It was immediately apparent that he's a class act and we're happy to have him here. Our approach is to keep getting better and in order to achieve this we need motivation and players to bolster the squad."
Many supporters as well as Luciano Spalletti see you as one of the leaders of this squad...
"I'm really happy for this. Having said that I don't really focus on praise and criticism; I never let it go to my head and I just get on with things.
"I think that we've got many strong characters in the squad, but the most important thing is how we are as a unit. Only by pulling together can we achieve great results."
Will Napoli be competitive this season?
"I'm convinced that we will be; this will be evident from the first matchday of Serie A 2022/23. We've made some new signings and there will be more to come. Not being among the favourites could be a positive because this will drive us on to show people what we're made of.
"I believe that this is one of the best teams I've ever played in. We're going into the new season full of energy and believe. We're really fired up and ready to hit the ground running. We finished third last season; this time out we'll be aiming to better that."
