Napoli v Como stat pack

Previous encounters

There have been 18 previous meetings between these two sides in Naples, with 14 home wins (the last one a 3-1 in Serie A 2024/25), two draws (the most recent a 0-0 on 1 November, in Serie A) and two away wins (the most recent a 0-1 in Serie B 2003/04).

That last Como victory (0-1 on 7/9/2003) was on the opening weekend of the 2003/04 Serie B season – one of only two games played due to a Serie B strike. Mauro Bressan scored the only goal.

There have been two previous meetings in the Coppa Italia, both in the same season. They played home and away in the 1999/00 group stage: 1-1 in Naples and 2-1 to the Azzurri in Como.

Facts and figures

This will be Napoli's second Coppa Italia match in 2025/26. In the round of 16, they beat Cagliari on penalties after it finished 1-1 in regular time (goals by Lorenzo Lucca and Sebastiano Esposito).

Napoli last reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia in 2020/21, when they drew 0-0 with Atalanta in Naples then lost the return in Bergamo 3-1.

Napoli are the only team in the history of the competition to have won the Coppa Italia as a Serie B club: that happened in 1961/62, with a 2-1 triumph over SPAL in the final.

Como have come through three rounds to reach the quarter-finals, defeating Sudtirol (3-1 at home), Sassuolo (3-0 at home) and Fiorentina (3-1 at the Franchi).

Tavos Douvikas is Como's top scorer in the competition with three, followed by Jesus Rodriguez (two), Lucas Da Cunha, Morata, Nico Paz and Sergi Roberto (one each).

If Como were to advance to the next round, it would equal their best-ever result in the Coppa Italia. In 1985/86 they reached the semi-final and were beaten by Sampdoria (1-1 in Genoa and a 2-0 loss by forfeit in the return).

Antonio Conte and Cesc Fabregas are facing off as coaches for the fourth time. They have won one each and drawn one of the previous three.

Rasmus Hojlund's brace against Genoa at the weekend was his fourth double for Napoli and his fifth of the season considering matches with Denmark too. His last one was on 28 December 2025 (Cremonese 0-2 Napoli, Serie A).
