Napoli v Juventus: Previous meetings
There have been 88 official meetings between the sides in Naples. Napoli have recorded 34 wins (most recently a 2-1 triumph in Serie A in 2024/25), with 30 draws (the latest a 1-1 stalemate in Serie A in 2016/17) and 24 Juventus victories (a 2-1 success in Serie A in 2018/19).
Napoli have won each of the last six Serie A fixtures played in Naples. Juventus’ most recent positive result at the Stadio Maradona dates back to 3 March 2019, when they won 2-1 thanks to goals from Miralem Pjanic and Emre Can, with Jose Callejon pulling one back and Lorenzo Insigne missing a penalty six minutes from time.
In Italian football history, Napoli and Juventus have faced each other in six official finals. Napoli have lifted four of those trophies: the 1990 Italian Super Cup (5-1 in Naples), the 2011/12 Coppa Italia (2-0 in Rome), the 2014 Italian Super Cup (8-7 on penalties following a 1-1 draw after 90 minutes and 2-2 after extra time, played in Doha) and the 2019/20 Coppa Italia (4-2 on penalties in Rome after a goalless draw after 120 minutes). Juventus’ two wins came in the Italian Super Cup in 2012 (4-2 in Beijing) and 2020 (2-0 in Reggio Emilia).
The very first meeting between the two sides in the single-round Serie A format was played in Turin. On 6 October 1929, matchday one finished 3-2 to Juventus through a Biagio Zoccola own goal (the first in Serie A history) and goals by Cevenini III and Federico Munerati, with Marcello Mihalic scoring twice for the Partenopei.
