Napoli v Udinese preview

Napoli and Udinese have faced off 49 times in Naples before, with 31 home wins (the last one a 4-1 in Serie A 2023/24), 13 draws (1-1 in Serie A 2024/25) and five Udinese victories (the most recent being a 1-2 victory in Serie A 2010/11).

Napoli have qualified for the Champions League/European Cup for the 13th time.

The Azzurri are the Serie A team with the most different scorers in 2025/26 (19) and also the one that has conceded the most penalties (10).

Antonio Conte's side have won 13 points from losing positions this term – the same as Sassuolo and fewer only than Milan and Cagliari (14).

Napoli have also managed the third-most goals from set-pieces in the current campaign (16, the same as Roma and Milan), behind Inter (25) and Genoa (17).

Udinese meanwhile have the third-best dribbling statistic this year – averaging 9.5 completed dribbles per game – after Juventus (10.8) and Milan (9.7)

Kosta Runjaic's men also boast the highest percentage of duels won in their own half in Serie A 2025/26 – 61.8%, the same as Roma.

However, only two teams – Torino and Pisa with 11 – have conceded more goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half this season than Udinese, who have let in ten in that time, the same number as Fiorentina, Cagliari and Genoa.

Udinese have also scored the fewest goals through substitutes in Serie A (two).

This will be the fourth competitive match between Antonio Conte and Kosta Runjaic. Previously they have won one each and drawn one.

Rasmus Hojlund (187) has won more duels on the ground than any other player this season and against Pisa notched his 11th goal of the campaign - his personal best in a single season.

Amir Rrahmani also found the net against Pisa, his second goal of the season. His other one came in a 2-0 victory over Lazio on 4 January 2026.

Scott McTominay meanwhile racked up his tenth goal of the season against the Tuscans, with three in Napoli’s last six games.
