The Azzurri win their third friendly against international opposition at Castel di Sangro
Napoli wrapped up their Castel di Sangro training camp in style by beating Aris Thessaloniki in their third friendly against international opposition at the Stadio Patini.
Max Allegri’s charges opened the scoring around the 20-minute mark through Amir Rrahmani’s powerful and precise right-footed shot. The Greeks then equalised through a fine free-kick by Uros Racic. However, Napoli found the net again just before half-time, with Scott McTominay converting an assist from Alisson with his left foot.
Early in the second half, substitute Kevin De Bruyne made it 3-1 by volleying a Matteo Politano cross in at the far post with his right foot. Then it was Lorenzo Lucca's turn to get among the goals. The Italian international forward struck twice in ten minutes, first with a snap shot inside the box, and then with a powerful right-footed strike that found the net after De Bruyne had hit the post.
Aris pulled one back in the 79th minute through a beautiful left-footed strike on the bounce by Racic from just outside the box. The match was rounded off with a second goal for De Bruyne, who fired home a precise assist from Giovane to seal a 6-2 victory.
