A tightly contested match ends goalless, with Napoli hitting the woodwork three times through Frank Anguissa, Matteo Politano and Scott McTominay. It ended 0-0 at the Stadio Tardini, meaning the title race will go down to the wire on the the final day of the season after Inter drew 2-2 at home to Lazio on Sunday evening.

Antonio Conte had this to say after the match:

“We’re close to the finish line, but we still need to take the final step. We’ll try to do that along with our supporters at the Stadio Maradona. It’s been a fiercely contested league and we’re proud to have stayed in the fight right to the end.

“We’ve been top of the table for a long time despite a season full of challenges and setbacks. We never complained and we’ve just kept going with our own strength.

“I know perfectly well that we have the chance to make history for Napoli and a special city, which is unlike any other. I hope to win this title for the love of our supporters and for this extraordinary group. It would be wonderful and well deserved, given all the hard work we’ve put in together.

“If this success does come, it would reward all the effort and daily dedication. I have faith in everyone: the lads, the staff and the fans. Together, with the passion and drive of the Azzurri faithful, we could go on to achieve something truly special."
