Napoli were in fine form as they brushed aside Fiorentina 3-0 at the Stadio Franchi to rack up a fourth straight league win and return to the top of the table awaiting results elsewhere.

David Neres opened the scoring on the half-hour mark when he burst past two defenders and smashed the ball into the top of the net.

In the second half, Frank Anguissa was scythed down in the box and Romelu Lukaku converted from the spot to make it 2-0.

Scott McTominay wrapped up the points midway through the half with a cool finish from inside the area.

Leonardo Spinazzola had the following to say after the game:

“I'm happy with my performance today because I tried to keep on my toes at all times. I'm part of a fantastic team and we showed today that we're good value for our league position.

“We work so hard and the boss is there helping us every day. He's a perfectionist who's able to help each of us improve and perform at our best. We're a well-knit team and we all go onto the pitch with real conviction. Results further boost our belief and we're know we're on the right track.

“We were missing some big players today but we showed what a competitive squad we have – even those who play less are always ready to come in and play their part.”

Spinazzola finished with a few words for a young fan who sadly passed away on Saturday.

“Our thoughts are with the family of Daniele. We'll really miss him. He taught us lots of things and he'll keep guiding us all from above.”
