Napoli came from a goal behind to beat Juventus and make it seven league wins on the bounce in Serie A.

The Bianconeri took the lead through their new signing Kolo Muani at the end of the first half, but a spirited second-half showing saw Antonio Conte's side turn the tables.

First Frank Anguissa levelled the scores with a fine header shortly before the hour mark. Then, after Scott McTominay was felled in the area, Romelu Lukaku slotted his spot-kick coolly down the centre of the goal to score what proved to be the winner.

Here's what Antonio Conte had to say after the final whistle:

“The lads did exceptionally well. Despite the difficulties we're faced with, they always manage to make up for it with tremendous determination to overcome every obstacle.

“We've beaten a very good team who hadn't lost yet and they've have strengthened further in the January window.

“These victories against Atalanta and Juventus are a huge boost for our confidence and our self-belief, especially as we've had to deal with some big absences. We've managed to earn lots of points. We're now above teams that finished many points above us last season. That tells us we're on an upwards curve. In the last six months this team has grown exponentially and it's credit to these lads.”

Frank Anguissa expressed his own satisfaction after netting the all-important equaliser.

“Juventus is always a special game for Neapolitans. We wanted to win and we succeeded in doing so, although it was a very hard-fought encounter. We're happy.

“It was my fifth goal this season and I'm pleased because it was an important one. The coach is always telling me to try and score, that I have more goals in me, and I try to follow his advice.

“We've showing what a great team we are but we have to keep taking each game as it comes without looking at the league table.”

Alex Meret commented on his superb stop to deny Kenan Yildiz in the opening minutes.

“It was a good save. I tried to get in the path of his shot and I went the right way. I did well but I got a bit lucky too.

"We responded really well after the first half. We went back out with real belief and confidence that we would turn the game around. It's a massive win and it was a difficult one too. Juventus hadn't lost before this and that shows what a good performance it was.

Leonardo Spinazzola explained that the game's turning point came at half time.

“We made a few tactical tweaks during the break which helped us get back in it and flip the result around. It was a very intense encounter and winning it is a sign of how much we're improving.

“We train at full intensity during the week. The gaffer is constantly pushing us to give our best and you can see the results on the pitch. Winning helps you win more and we must continue along this path with the same determination and the energy we get from victories like this.”
