“I’m really happy with the team’s attitude. If we maintain this approach we have every reason to be confident moving into the coming months and to climb the table.” Walter Mazzarri offered his opinions in the wake of Napoli’s 0-0 draw away at Lazio.
“I’m content with what I saw this evening. We were up against a top team in their stadium. We had many absentees but our lesser-used players responded well.
“We played as a real team. The lads were tight and I’m enjoying seeing the qualities we have which will see us improve.
“Regarding my formation choice, I deemed it the best option for the game and considering the players we were missing. When we’ve got everyone back we’re capable of switching back to a 4-3-3. If we show solidity like we did this evening we’re capable of varying our approach. What counts is being tight and composed.
“I’d like to give a special mention to [Diego] Demme – he hadn’t enjoyed a run in the team for a long time and today he gave his heart and soul. I’ve got a strong bond with all of my players. Whoever I pick is required to give their all.”
