"We were at fault with our positioning for their goal. However, I think that we did enough to equalise or even win the game.” Walter Mazzarri took positives from Napoli's performance in Milan, despite the defeat.
"We took a close look at Theo Hernandez's movements when preparing for this fixture, and we knew what we needed to do to shackle him. Unfortunately there was a lapse in concentration. I’m not talking about individuals – I’m just pointing out there was a mistake there.
"We kept Milan at bay. We withstood their aggressive press and after the break we played with greater clarity, while they tired.
“Had certain things gone our way we could’ve equalised or even won. We played better in the second half - we were definitely the better side.
"In light of recent performances we can believe that Champions League qualification is realistic. Our aim is still to finish fourth and if we’re able to play as we did for long periods of tonight then we’ll be in with a shout.
"There are 15 games left and I'm confident. We have players who are improving and others who are coming back into the fold. The road is still long and we can climb the table.”
