Alex Meret was quick to pinpoint the reasons behind the victory over Ajax in the Champions League which saw Napoli book their place in the round of 16 with two games yet to play.
“It was a win as a team. We’re thrilled with this achievement because it’s down to both our quality and hard work. We’re a united team that works hard on a daily basis to reach significant aims.
“It’s a fantastic victory and we’re delighted, but we need to keep this level of focus up. We’re an ambitious squad with players who help one another out. Reaching this target gives us added strength and confidence that we should never lose because there’s a busy run of fixtures ahead of us and plenty of scope for more happy moments.”
