Napoli fell to a home defeat on Sunday evening with Inter bagging a 3-0 victory over the hosts. The big win puts Inter back at the top of the Serie A table. Napoli are now in fifth place.

Despite a promising start with attempts from both Elif Elmas and Matteo Politano, the Azzurri failed to find the back of the net.

Hakan Calhanoglu opened the scoring for the Nerazzurri in the 44th minute and put Inter ahead going into the break.

The visitors came back fighting after half time, with Nicolo Barella scoring his first goal of the season to double Inter’s lead.

Marcus Thuram wrapped the game up for the Nerazzurri in the 85th minute, securing them the coveted three points.
