A late, late goal by Amir Rrahmani earned Napoli three points against local rivals Salernitana as the Azzurri returned to winning ways at the Stadio Maradona in dramatic fashion.
Walter Mazzarri's side found themselves chasing the game after Antonio Candreva's long-range stunner gave the visitors the lead on the half-hour mark.
Matteo Politano restored parity from the penalty spot just before the break following a foul by Fabio Fazio on Giovanni Simeone.
The second half was near one-way traffic as Napoli laid siege to the Salernitana goal looking to complete the turnaround.
Jens Cajuste and Kvichva Kvaratskhelia (twice) went close to scoring but it looked like it wasn't going to be our night.
Then, as the game entered the sixth minute of stoppage time, Rrahmani brought down a loose ball in the box and smashed it into the back of the net – exactly one year to the day since he scored in the 5-1 win over Juventus.
The last-gasp victory is a timely morale boost ahead of the Azzurri's departure for Saudi Arabia, where they will face Fiorentina in the Super Cup semi-final on Thursday.
