The Azzurri took part in a morning training session on Monday at the SSCN Konami Training Centre. The players are getting ready to face Lille on Wednesday at the Stadio Maradona, with a kick-off time of 20:00 CET.
The session got under way with exercises in the gym before the squad headed out onto pitch two for technical and tactical drills and fitness work. The programme ended with training matches on a small pitch.
It was the first session back for Frank Anguissa, Hirving Lozano and Mathias Olivera, who all returned from their World Cup international duty. The three Azzurri did some work in the gym and then followed a personalised programme on the pitch.
Matteo Politano joined his team-mates for the entire session, while Amir Rrahmani was with the others for the first part and followed an individual programme for the second.
Before the session got started, the team greeted the boys and girls from Napoli’s academy and then at the end, Luciano Spalletti also did a short speech to wish them all a merry Christmas.
