Natan made it clear just how happy he is to be a Napoli player as he spoke at his official unveiling on Thursday.
Here's what our new defender had to the gathered media at the SSC Napoli Konami Training Center...
You've chosen the No.3 shirt worn by Kim Min-jae last season. Do you feel the weight of responsibility?
“It's the number I wore when I started out at Flamengo. I know it's the number Kim had. He's a top player and I have nothing but respect for him.
“I worked really hard in Brazil hoping that one day I would attract the interest of a top club like Napoli
What are your best qualities?
“My speed and covering play and my grit in the tackle. I like playing as a left-sided centre-back but if needed I can play on the flank too.”
How are you settling in to life in Italy?
“Juan Jesus and Mario Rui are helping me a lot on and off the field. I know that Serie A is very tough with lots of top strikers. The football is tactical and defensive and you need both technical ability and strength. My team-mates will help me settle in well quickly.”
What has Rudi Garcia said to you in your first few training sessions?
"I'm learning Italian so that I can communicate with my team-mates and the coach better. I'm sure Garcia will help me improve all areas of my game.”
Are set-pieces something you excel at?
“I didn't score many headed goals last season but it's something I'm hoping to improve this season and I'm sure I will.”
What do you think of Naples and the fans?
“Napoli is a passionate city that shows you lots of love. I'm sure I'll be very happy here. I'll have to adapt to the tempo of Serie A as the game is played faster here than in Brazil but I'm sure I'll get used to it.
“I'm really excited and can't wait to make my Napoli debut and play at the Stadio Maradona with the spine-tingling crowd.”
