Victor Osimhen was at pains to express his feelings after helping Napoli seal the Serie A title at Udinese on Thursday.
The Nigerian struck in the 52nd minute at Dacia Arena to cancel out Sandi Lovric's opener as the Azzurri held on to claim the final point they needed to make the Scudetto a mathematical certainty.
"It's an amazing feeling that I really can't describe,” the 24-year-old began.
"This is a day that I'll never forget as long as I live. Our fans have waited so many years for this Scudetto and we're proud to have brought it back to Naples.
“No one believed in us at the start of the season but we've shown what a strong team we are, with a fantastic coach and a great president.
“I want to thank everyone who has worked alongside us day after day. We've won it thanks to them. We believed we could do it from the beginning and now we can enjoy this success.”
In which match did you realise you could win the Scudetto?
"Personally I realised after we beat Roma at the Olimpico. That boosted our confidence and mentality.
"I want to thank my team-mates, the coach and staff. It's been an incredible season.”
