The Napoli forward gave a press conference ahead of matchday four of the Champions League.
“We’ve had little time to prepare for the match, but we’re ready. We have another training session today and we’ll give it our all in this very important match;” Matteo Politano said ahead of Napoli’s game against Eintracht.
“Our performance in the Netherlands should serve as a warning sign for us. It was a bad defeat, but we must learn from that game and realise how complicated the Champions League is, to be up to such a challenge.
“There’s more intensity and a faster pace in European competitions, but our problem so far has been that we didn’t always have the full squad available. Playing every three days has meant that we had to compete with players who had to skip matches because they were injured.
“Important players are recovering now and we’ll have to make the most of all our assets on the pitch tomorrow because winning would be very important for us.
“Eintracht are a team who face you head-on, and they’ll try to press us. It will be crucial that we approach the match well and manage every situation as best we can to take all three points home.”
