1 August 1926 is the date chosen by the people of Naples to mark the beginning of football’s history in the city. Today, a century later, SSC Napoli celebrates its Centenary with “Napoli 100”, a city-wide event in the heart of Naples, and a hero video that captures the campaign’s deepest meaning.
“Pe’ cient’anne” is the wish we imagine Naples making for itself in this momentum: an extraordinary alignment that sees the city shine in every field and look confidently towards an ever brighter future. Cristiana Dell’Anna, a Neapolitan actress with an international career, lends her voice and perspective to the story of this crucial chapter in our history.
The video journeys through some of the city’s most iconic locations: from the unstoppable energy of the streets of Forcella to the views of Posillipo, from the unmistakable façade of Palazzo dello Spagnolo to the construction site of the new Capodichino metro station, a project rising towards the sky from a depth of 50 metres and set to become a gateway to the Naples of the future.
