Jack Raspadori has made a stunning start to life in Europe’s premier competition with four goals to his name already, which the forward touched on after the 4-2 victory over Ajax to seal a last-16 berth.
“Scoring four goals in the Champions League is a dream come true. Things are going exceptionally well at the moment. I never could’ve imagined making a start like this, so I’m grateful to the coach and my team-mates because I’m improving and it’s largely down to them.
“We got our approach spot on tonight and made a brilliant start which helped us manage the game. We’re pleased with what we achieved out there, but want to do even better.
“Performances of this standard increase the excitement levels and give us plenty of confidence that we can take into the league. We need to keep showing this sort of intensity and adopt the same approach from game to game.”
