Jack Raspadori has turned into Juventus’s worst nightmare! After striking in the 94th minute last season in Turin to clinch victory, he performed a similar trick on Sunday evening late on at the Stadio Maradona to secure another dramatic win for the Azzurri against the same opponents.
“This win was built on hard work over ten days in training,” admitted the forward. “We’re getting back on the right path and we don’t want to stop here.
“I’m so pleased, particularly for the team. We deserved this win and we knew it would be crucial in terms of our resurgence.
“We did well out there and stayed well organised when there were difficult phases. After they equalised, we got set up again in order to play calmly and show our quality, with the goal coming at the time when there was the most pressure.
“We’re rediscovering a mentality that has been missing in the past. Under [Francesco] Calzona we’ve had a reset. We’re playing on the front foot and we’ve freed our heads from the difficult moments. We’re trying to play the sort of football that we showcased so often last year.
“This means that we certainly need to keep improving and trying to reach our target of fourth place while it’s possible.”
