An early goal by Giacomo Raspadori and a late second by substitute Eljif Elmas helped Napoli overcome Salernitana in the Campania derby and move into the top four awaiting results elsewhere.

The Italian forward netted his third goal in as many games on 13 minutes when he was released in the box by Stanislav Lobotka following a defensive mix-up.

Raspadori and Matteo Politano went close to making it 2-0 but the hosts held on valiantly before the North Macedonian forward put the game to bed with a jinking run and fine finish with ten minutes left to play.

Rudi Garcia's side can now look ahead to their return to the Maradona on Wednesday when Union Berlin come to town.
