Genoa - Napoli bounced back from last week's disappointing defeat at Inter to emerge 2-0 winners over Sampdoria on Sunday evening. The Partenopei's first victory of 2023, earned against dogged hosts who were reduced to 10 men in the first period, came thanks to goals from Victor Osimhen and Eljif Elmas either side of the interval. The Nigerian opened the scoring on 19 minutes, applying a near-post finish to Mario Rui's cross, and Elmas secured the victory from the penalty spot, awarded after a handball, with 82 minutes on the clock. Next up for Luciano Spalletti's men is a clash with Juventus in Naples.
