Federico La Penna will referee Cagliari v Napoli. He will be assisted by Baccini and Rossi, with Rapuano acting as the fourth official. Paterna and Massa will be on VAR duties.
It will be the 72nd time La Penna has refereed in Serie A, with this weekend’s game being his first of the season.
Cagliari have played seven Serie A matches with La Penna in charge, with the recording standing at two wins, one draw and four defeats, one of which occurred in the most recent match, a 3-1 home loss to Milan on 27 September 2023.
Napoli have lost only one of their 12 Serie A matches when La Penna has been in charge, winning seven and drawing four. The only time he has refereed Napoli this year was back on 17 March, a 1-1 away from against Inter.
