After being subbed on for Victor Osimhen in the second half of Napoli’s home match against Udinese on Wednesday, Giovanni Simeone scored a header that secured the Azzurri’s 4-1 victory over the Friulian club.
“We’ll kick on from here now,” the Argentine insisted after the game. “I’m happy because goals are always important, but we also need to talk about our performance. We’ve been working so hard and up until now we haven’t seen the fruits of our labour, but we know we’re still a great team.
“We’re a strong and tight-knit team. We know that no two seasons are the same, but we also know that we’ve got the courage, mentality, and the ability to have our say again.”
